Nantong Xingdong International Airport has been making every effort to ensure the speedy transportation of medical supplies for the fight against the novel coronavirus outbreak.
It has established green channels and exempted transport costs for medical items, operating around the clock.
On Jan 30, a total of 4,150 protective clothing donated by the Thai Chamber of Commerce in China arrived in Nantong. The airport worked with the local custom department, which quickly gave the green light to the goods, ensuring that the badly needed items will be sent to Hubei province and other cities in Jiangsu province as soon as possible.
On Jan 31, about three tons of imported materials for mask production were transported to Shenzhen, Guangdong province by Shenzhen Airlines, which volunteered to operate the flights.
These materials were sent to Chongqing for the production of protective masks soon afterwards.
Another batch of medical protective clothing donated by Nantong entrepreneurs in Israel is expected to arrive in Nantong soon.
Essential protective items produced by Nantong companies will also be packed and sent to Zunyi in Southwest China's Guizhou province soon.
