Culture, tourism investors visit Hai'an
More than 160 investors and businessmen from the Yangtze River Delta Region paid a visit to Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Nov 27. The visitors investigated the city's tourism industry and tried out some of its tourist routes.
They were impressed by a wood carving entitled Along the River During the Qingming Festival (Qingming Shanghe Tu) in a local museum, and also chowed down on a delicious globefish at a scenic spot owned by Zhongyang Group, which boasts the world's largest globefish breeding center. They also visited Longlive Town, a health and tourism-themed town in Hai'an.
Hai'an currently has a total of 13 A-class scenic spots, 12 provincial rural tourism zones, and four provincial industrial tourist sites, more than any other county-level city or county in Nantong.
A tourism cooperation agreement has been signed between Hai'an's bureau of cultural broadcasting and publication and the Shanghai Tourism Trade Association, as Hai'an has become a popular rural tourist destination for Shanghai residents.
