Hai'an Rural Tourism Festival kicks off

The 6th Hai'an Rural Tourism Festival began on Oct 26 at a modern agricultural park in Hai'an, Nantong, Jiangsu province, attracting more than 3,000 visitors from Shanghai, Suzhou, and Kunshan in Jiangsu province.
The festival gives visitors an opportunity to enjoy performances by locals, play a variety of games, and view an exhibition of agricultural products.
The unveiling ceremony for a social practice center built by the park and Hailing Secondary School was also held during the festival.
Rural tourism is thriving in Hai'an. The city currently boasts one national demonstration site for rural tourism, three provincial four-star sites, and six provincial three-star sites. A series of ecological agricultural parks integrating agriculture and tourism have been established as well.
This year, about 1.6 million people have visited Hai'an through rural tourism, bringing in 2 billion yuan ($283.34 million).
