An agreement on the China Telecom Yangtze River Delta Computing Hub (Rudong Yangkou Port) project, with an estimated investment of 30 billion yuan ($4.4 billion), has been signed. This marks another milestone for Rudong couty in Nantong, Jiangsu province, in promoting the growth of green electricity and computing power.

Rudong is a prudent choice as the region boasts abundant clean energy resources, including offshore wind power, solar energy, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) cold energy. Notably, Yangkou Port, a significant deep-water offshore port in the county, has developed the nation's largest LNG receiving terminal cluster, releasing the highest amount of cold energy resources each year.

Rudong's unique combination of green electricity supply and cold energy resources has attracted major companies like VNET Group, one of the world's most influential cyberspace infrastructure service providers, to capitalize on the "wind-solar-green electricity-computing power" synergy in the region.

Rudong integrates seamlessly into the Shanghai metropolitan area via an efficient transportation network, while leveraging its strategic coastal hinterland to become a key industrial hub in the northern Yangtze River Delta.

With ongoing infrastructure developments and major projects in the pipeline, Rudong is poised to lead in green and intelligent industries, driven by its rich resources and strategic vision.
