A cooperation exchange event between the Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone in Rudong, Jiangsu province, and German-speaking countries took place on June 11 in Shanghai.

Shao Feng, head of Rudong county, said that Rudong has already laid a profound and solid foundation in terms of its cooperation with German-speaking countries, with bilateral trade reaching 1.89 billion yuan ($279.42 million) in 2025.

A representative from the Rudong Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone also introduced the zone's transportation, green industrial cluster and advantageous business environment.

Representatives from Germany's Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony, and other regions introduced their respective industrial advantages and discussed ideas for cooperation.

The foreign guests affirmed the industrial resource and development potential of the zone, emphasized the importance of complementary industries, and proposed promoting further cooperation through more field visits and precise matchmaking.
