The international qualifying tournament for the 6th MLily Pressure-Relieving Mattress Cup World Go Open Tournament concluded in Rugao, Nantong, Jiangsu, on May 12, with Chinese players delivering a dominant performance.

China secured 37 of the 42 qualifying spots, accounting for 88 percent of the total, marking its best result in the history of the tournament's qualifiers.

A total of 64 players are set to compete in the main event. The reigning champion and runner-up from the previous edition automatically qualified. Seeded slots were allocated by association, with five players from China, three each from Japan and South Korea, and one from Chinese Taipei. Two wild cards were also awarded.

The remaining 48 places were determined through qualification tournaments, including six players from Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia, while the Rugao event decided 42 of those slots. In total, 390 players registered for the qualifiers.

The MLily World Go Open Tournament is a premier international Go competition established in 2013 by MLily, a global sleep technology brand headquartered in Rugao, and the Chinese Weiqi Association. Held every two years, the tournament has become one of the most influential events in the Go world.
