Rudong's enhanced business environment empowers project development
Since the start of this year, Rudong county in Nantong, Jiangsu province, has continued to improve its business environment to boost high-quality development.
The annual production of 120,000 metric tons of polystyrene project operated by Jiangsu Jiaqifa Chemical, located in the Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone in Rudong underwent an on-site inspection before trial production begn on April 22.
It took just 18 months for this new material project to near production since construction began. This could not have been achieved without the dedicated support of Rudongs project service specialist.
In 2024, as soon as the project site was selected, Rudong immediately arranged for a project service specialist to handle and follow up procedures such as project approval, water and electricity pipeline connection and construction permit processing.
In recent days, the annual 100,000-ton bio based nano silica project located in the Yangkou Port EDZ has been busy amid a flurry of final construction work, with plans to embark on trial production by the end of December.

The settlement of this high-quality project reflects Rudong's efforts in terms of chasing innovative investment methods and improving the quality and efficiency of its efforts to attract new businesses.
Rudong has focused on key regions such as Shanghai, southern Jiangsu, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, to draw up a key industrial chain investment map. It has also established three specialized investment teams for industrial investment, technology investment, and service industry investment.
In the first quarter, Rudong signed 56 projects worth over 100 million yuan ($14.63 million) each, including 27 projects worth over 500 million yuan apiece.
