PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Terminal continues expansion to ensure stable supply
PetroChina Jiangsu Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal, located on Sunshine Island at Yangkou Port, Rudong, Jiangsu province, reached a significant milestone on April 24. The total amount of LNG unloaded at the terminal has exceeded 71.5 million metric tons, and it has exported over 100 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
Since its operation began in 2011, the terminal has played a crucial role in ensuring the supply of natural gas in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region. It has cumulatively unloaded LNG resources from 29 countries and regions.

The terminal features six LNG storage tanks with a total capacity of 1.08 million cu m. At full capacity, this can sustain the natural gas consumption of 23 million households for one month.
The first phase of the project was put into operation in 2011, followed by the completion of the second phase in 2016 and the initiation of the third phase in 2021. At present, an expansion tank project is underway and is expected to become operational in early 2029.
The terminal will continue to develop expansion projects to enhance its supply capacity and operational efficiency. This will contribute to national energy security and support the high-quality development of the YRD integration by providing a consistent supply of clean energy.
