The Green China · Nantong (Yangkou Port) Zero Carbon Park Construction International Cooperation Matchmaking Conference took place on April 2 in Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province, attracting over 40 representatives.

They conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as the co-construction of a zero-carbon park as well as ecological and green energy transformation, while exploring new avenues for development cooperation.

Rudong was chosen to host the event due to its advantages in green and low carbon development.

The county benefits from a strong green power supply, cold energy resources, low-carbon steam, and convenient transportation. Thanks to these advantages, the county's Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone has been selected as a provincial-level pilot park for new power systems and a provincial-level pilot park for achieving China's peak carbon emission and carbon neutrality goals.

Representatives from foreign-funded enterprises said Rudong's integrated energy system, combining wind and solar power, hydrogen production and use, energy storage, and cooling technologies, is highly attractive.

They praised the county for not only being rich in green electricity resources, but also an ideal base for emerging industries such as green chemicals, green equipment manufacturing, and green aviation coal.
