Construction workers install guardrails on the Huanghai Second Bridge. [Video/Nantong Daily]

On Aug 8, construction workers completed the installation of guardrails on the Huanghai Second Bridge, a key infrastructure project within Jiangsu province's comprehensive transportation network. The bridge is scheduled to open to traffic soon.

The Huanghai Second Bridge is a major development designed to support Yangkou Port, situated to the east of the existing Huanghai Bridge. Spanning approximately 10 kilometers with a driving lane width of 9 meters, the new bridge is poised to feature a four-lane, first-class highway configuration. Its completion is anticipated to significantly reduce the traffic burden on the existing Huanghai Bridge and address the growing throughput demands of the port area effectively.
