10b yuan TopCon battery facility to commence trial operation in NETDA
The 10-billion-yuan ($1.45 billion) TOPCon battery manufacturing facility in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), East China's Jiangsu province, is expected to commence trial operation at the end of June, according to authorities.
That the 200,000-square-meter facility, which started construction on Jan 30, can be put into operation within such a short period of time is largely due to better services provided by NETDA's authorities, said Lu Songjie, the deputy manager of Jiangsu Linyang Energy Co Ltd, which funded the facility.
He added that authorities have been dispatching staff to construction sites every day to help enterprises deal with difficulties.
The facility is expected to generate 10 billion yuan in annual output value and 400 million yuan in taxes, said local authorities.
Established in 1995 in Nantong's Qidong city, Linyang is a national high-tech enterprise listed on the main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The company's business covers three fields: intelligence, energy storage, and new energy.
Bao Delin, the director of the administrative committee of NETDA, said that the establishment of the facility will significantly speed up innovation in the area.
