Authorities of the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area in East China's Jiangsu province held a conference aimed at driving intelligent upgrading and digital transformation of its manufacturing sector on April 12.
At the conference, they appointed six consultants from the area's major industrial internet companies that will play a leading role in advancing the integration of new-generation information technology and the manufacturing sector, according to Jiang Yumin, head of the organizing department of the NETDA Party committee.
Authorities also outlined favorable policies and related talent policies to encourage local companies to pursue digital transformation; meanwhile, the six consultants introduced their core technologies.
The NETDA government has made a three-year action plan to bolster its digital economy and will take such measures as encouraging financial institutions to roll out special services and providing training courses to workers engaged in digital industries.
Chu Yuxin, deputy Party secretary of the Nantong industry and information bureau, said at the conference that accelerating digital transformation of NETDA's manufacturing enterprises is crucial to establishing a modern industrial system and advancing the area's high-quality development.
