Retired soldiers volunteer in Rugao development zone

A volunteer team comprised of former military members in Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone, which is located in Rugao, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, have been working to provide a wide range of services to local community residents.
The team, which is named "Red vanguard", has been engaged in various activities, such as planting trees, helping with COVID-19 vaccination programs, assisting in rescue activities, as well as sweeping tombs of martyrs that died during wartime.

Volunteers visit local communities often to educate residents on COVID-19 prevention and ways to avoid being defrauded. They also help them fix computers, unclog drains, and cut hair for free.
