Shuanglouzhuang village, which is located in Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone in Rugao, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, held an activity in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on June 29.
All Party members in the village and several officials from local administrations attended the event to mark the 100th birthday of the CPC, which will fall on July 1.
Attendees took the oath once again before the CPC flag like when they did when being admitted to the Party, renewing their pledge to be loyal and strive to help the Party achieve its causes.
Wang Zhenghua, a Party official of the village, gave a lecture about the village's history, encouraging CPC members to improve their work skills and better serve local residents. He also awarded medals to CPC members who joined the Party half a century or more ago.
In addition, all participants at the event sang a song titled "Without the CPC There Would be No New China" together to salute the Party's centenary.
