Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone, which is located in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, was recognized as one of the major opening-up platforms for the province's innovative development zone by the office of the China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone on June 4.

The innovative development zone is set up to team with the Jiangsu FTZ, as well as to further boost the high-level opening up and high-quality development within the area. The office of the Jiangsu FTZ has recently announced 20 measures to support the initiative.

In the future, the Rugao development zone will cooperate closely with six other platforms in Nantong, learn from their experiences, and make full use of local resources to explore ways to upgrade industries.
