Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone, which is located in Rugao, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, held an activity to help companies in the zone with their intellectual property (IP) protection issues on April 26, which is World Intellectual Property Day.

More than 100 companies in the zone participated in a meeting where Jiangsu Zhongshan Intellectual Property Co delivered a lecture on patent portfolio management in high-tech companies, Rugao's relevant policies, as well as information about the China (Nantong) Intellectual Property Protection Center. The center is a one-stop organization that provides effective services, such as patent pre-examination, confirmation, as well as protection, for companies involved in the smart equipment manufacturing and textile industries.

Representatives from Rugao Dasheng Power Fitting Co and Jiangsu Tianyuan New Materials Co also shared their experience in IP protection at the meeting.

In addition, a seminar was held to discuss the establishment of an IP federation to help improve companies' abilities to create, manage, and protect their intellectual property.
