Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone in Rugao, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province has made continuous efforts to meet local companies' needs for workers and to further improve its business environment, local media outlets reported.
The zone's bureau of administrative examination and approval has organized a series of online as well as offline activities in order to build a platform to match workforce supply and demand in the zone.
The bureau has posted on its official WeChat account several job advertisements for local companies. Information about more than 3,500 positions in 52 companies has been forwarded to the public through the official account since the beginning of this year.
A special online job fair was held to recruit workers for Weg (Jiangsu) Electric Equipment Co, which is located in the development zone and has pressing employment needs. Jobseekers could submit their applications through a link in the post.
Offline job fairs have also been organized to help companies hire employees. A recently-held event in the zone saw the participation of 65 companies and more than 800 jobseekers.
