Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone held an activity on Jan 29 to distribute Spring Festival couplets to locals as the holiday is approaching.

The activity took place at "Donggao Reading Room," a public place set up by the sub-district's center for culture promotion. Several volunteers who are good at calligraphy wrote a number of Spring Festival couplets at the reading room.

The couplets were distributed later that day to residents in a local community and out-of-town staff members at Nantong Chayo Electrochemistry Co who will stay in the city during the holiday to help with the country's COVID-19 epidemic control efforts.

During the activity, a group of kids also learned about Rugao's history from a volunteer, as well as read picture books with their parents.
