The Nursing Home of Chengbei Sub-district in Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone, Nantong has implemented a variety of measures to protect the seniors at the home from health risks, including the COVID-19 pandemic.

The nursing home has been closed to visitors since Jan 13 in order to cut off COVID-19 transmission. It also advocates extending New Year wishes by phone calls or WeChat instead of through in-person visits.

The home takes seniors' temperature and sterilizes the premises twice a day. It has also prepared bountiful anti-epidemic materials and updates them regularly to ensure supply. All staff members are advised to stay in place and maintain social distancing.

In addition, the nursing home has been working to make sure that the ground is ice-free to prevent seniors from slipping and getting hurt. It has also made efforts to ensure food safety, as well as eliminate fire risk. Various television or radio programs are also provided to entertain seniors.
