The groundbreaking ceremony for a polypropylene capacitor film production line was held on Oct 30 in the Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone – in Rugao, the county level city administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – according to local media reports.

The production line is being installed by Nantong Bison Electronic New Material Co Ltd. With a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($150.28 million), the facility will cover an area of 120,000 square meters.

After its completion, the production line will generate an annual increase of 1.5 billion yuan in revenue for the company, which will pay an extra 54 million yuan in taxes per year.

The owner and operator of the production line was established in 1988 and the company is one of the leading suppliers of capacitor film in China.
