Rugao development zone helps enterprises solve problems
The Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone – a county-level city of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – has moved to help its resident businesses solve their problems, according to local officials.
They said that in view of the increasing difficulties and contradictions in the real economy because of the novel coronavirus pandemic, it staged an enterprise service month in August, which was well received by its companies.
Officials from the zone's management committee visited 200 companies in the zone.
They learned about their current production and operations, as well as their demand for employment and upstream and downstream support products, through face-to face meeting.
"The development zone wholeheartedly helps enterprises to seek development, strengthen their weaknesses and improve their energy levels – boosting the confidence of our Shanghai-funded enterprises to invest and start businesses in the zone," said Chen Zhaoping, Party secretary of Jiangsu Sieyuan Hertz Instrument Transformer Co Ltd.
According to Chen, this year, Sieyuan launched three projects in Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone with a total investment of 2.23 billion yuan ($326.11 million).
