Rugao Boai Hospital is transformed from the former Fourth People's Hospital of Rugao, and since April 2016 has been a second-grade class-A general hospital.

The hospital has 700 beds, more than 700 employees, including 102 with senior professional titles and 145 with intermediate professional titles.

The hospital is equipped with 26 clinical departments and five medical departments, covering cardiovascular internal medicine, respiratory medicine, neurology, digestive internal medicine, general surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatric, and otolaryngology.

The hospital has advanced examination equipment, including imported endoscopic equipment. The surgical department generally carries out minimally invasive surgery. It has a standard central supply room, laminar flow operating room, delivery room, ICU (intensive care unit) and CCU (coronary care unit).

A new women and children's building and a new ward building are under construction.
