"We are now looking at a redwood carving featuring Bailutu (Hundreds of Deer), a famous ancient Chinese painting," said a volunteer at a redwood manufacturing plant in Baipu town, Rugao on April 21.

"Internet + intangible cultural heritage items" has become a new model for trade in the town, and volunteers from the city's cultural center are presenting real-time wood carving techniques to audiences through online platforms, promoting traditional Chinese culture and the sales of related products.

In addition, since the beginning of this year, the Rugao cyberspace department has accelerated the expansion of the digital economy.

Big data centers, digital industrial maps, and WeChat applets have also been developed to attract investment in Changjiang town, and a community livestream center is planned to promote the local bonsai industry to the outside world.

The city currently has full 4G and fiber optic broadband coverage, and the Rugao Railway Station has become the first county-level railway station in Jiangsu province to offer 5G coverage.

This year, the city aims to build nearly 100 5G base stations, providing a strong impetus for the city's economic growth.
