Nantong rolls out measures to stimulate economy
Authorities in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province issued nine measures to stabilize its industrial economy on Jan 10.
The measures include offering incentives to enterprises above designated size, providing subsidies to employees who continue working in the city over the Spring Festival and issuing consumption coupons.
Specifically, the city's above-designated size industrial enterprises will be rewarded up to 500,000 yuan ($74,239) each if their output value increases 15 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of this year.
A subsidy of 100 yuan per person per day will be given to eligible non-local employees who continue working in the city over the Spring Festival. Consumption coupons, film tickets and cake vouchers will also be distributed to them.
From Jan 28 to Feb 5, enterprises that carry out the interprovincial return of employees by means of unified transportation rental such as chartered car shall be given a subsidy of 60 percent of the return cost.
In addition, from Jan 21 to 27, the city's public cultural venues and major scenic spots will offer free entry to non-local employees who stay in the city to spend the Spring Festival.
