Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has in recent years developed into an engine for Nantong's high-quality development.

In 2021, Chongchuan district's output value reached 163.15 billion yuan ($22.52 billion), ranking first in Nantong, official statistics show.

In February, the 2022 Innovation Development Conference held in Chongchuan pointed out that innovation has been a highlight of its development.

For example, Chongchuan has been advancing the digital transformation and intelligent reconstruction of manufacturing enterprises in the district to improve their production efficiency.

The district has also been encouraging enterprises involved in ship and marine engineering and high-end textiles to increase their investment in research and development.

In June, a promotional conference on the investment environment of Chongchuan held in Suzhou was participated in by more than 100 enterprises and saw the signing of 10 high tech projects.

In the first half of this year, the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone signed agreements for 30 new projects, including five projects with an investment of over 500 million yuan.

Shibei High Tech Park, located in Chongchuan, has introduced over 240 science and technology enterprises since its establishment.
