The Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu recently published Jiangsu's seventh group of "single-item champion manufacturers" and "champion products", bringing the total number of holders of such titles to 48, among which eight are based in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province.

Three "single-item champion manufacturers" and five "champion products" in Nantong made the list, accounting for 17 percent of the provincial aggregate, the second highest proportion in the province.

"Single-item champion manufacturers" refer to those committed to a single segment of the manufacturing sector, while also boasting globally advanced technologies and among the largest market shares in their segment.

Nantong has in recent years been working to boost the professional level of medium and small-sized enterprises. China's first indutrial base that provides service to champion manufacturers was established in Nantong in 2021. It will help the city develop more champion manufacturers and products.

Next, Nantong authorities will strengthen their support for champion enterprises, encouraging them to improve their technologies.
