Gangzha makes strides in industrial development
The Nantong Gangzha Economic Development zone in East China's Jiangsu province has recently been introducing a slew of new projects and expanding the development of key industries such as smart manufacturing, electronic information, new materials, digital culture, energy saving and environmental protection.
To provide greater convenience to the enterprises, the zone had established Nantong's first one-stop service center in 2021.
By the end of 2021, the center had offered services to 72 enterprises and established 42 programs in the zone.
In August, the zone held the 2022 Nantong Digital Culture Industry Summit, which witnessed the inauguration of the Nantong Digital Culture Industrial Park located in the zone. The park aims to form an industry cluster of digital industries in the region.
Over the past two years, the zone has introduced 45 scientific programs and seven high-tech enterprises. To date, there are 42 provincial research and development institutions, four provincial incubators for enterprises and one national maker space in the zone.
The zone has also made efforts to promote the advanced manufacturing sector. To date, it has developed three national "little giant" manufacturing enterprises and six provincial ones.
In addition, the zone has been focusing on intelligent reconstruction and digital transformation. Investments in this respect currently stands at 30 million yuan ($4.17 million).
Nantong is now planning to build a high-end intelligent equipment park in the zone in 2035. The park is expected to significantly advance industrial development in the region.
