The 2022 Nantong Digital Culture Industry Summit was held at the Nantong International Conference Center in Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Aug 26.

The conference witnessed the signing of 22 projects, covering e-games, e-commerce livestreaming, digital collections, video production, and digital literature, with a total investment of nearly 1 billion yuan ($144.56 million).

In recent years, Nantong has been promoting the digital upgrading of the culture industry, and in 2021 the added value of the city's culture industry reached 57.6 billion yuan, official statistics show.

The number of newly registered digital culture enterprises in Chongchuan district this year set a new record.

The district plans to boost the development of five key industries - commercial livestreaming, animation and games, electronic sports, digital equipment, and digital video - in the future, authorities said.

The inauguration ceremony for the Nantong Digital Culture Industrial Park and the Nantong Digital Culture Industrial Fund, which is worth 100 million yuan, was also staged on the sidelines of the summit.
