Peking Opera costume exhibition in Chongchuan highlights traditional Chinese culture

A Peking Opera costume and props exhibition was recently held at the Cultural and Art Center in Chongchuan district, Nantong. The exhibition aimed to showcase the unique charm of Peking Opera costumes and promote the Chinese traditional culture.

The display featured nearly 20 exquisite Peking Opera accessories, shoes, and props. Detailed photographs revealed the craftsmanship and aesthetic principles behind these costumes, offering visitors a deeper understanding of how they are made.

At the exhibition, attendees had the chance to closely examine the entire process of creating Peking Opera costumes—from the initial design sketches, embroidery, and fabric cutting to the final embroidery, sewing, and fitting.

Traditional Chinese drama, especially Peking Opera, is a cultural treasure and key part of China's national artistic heritage.
