Chongchuan excels in manufacturing industry
Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been making efforts to advance the development of the manufacturing industry in recent years.
Such efforts include establishing industrial complexes, boosting the innovative development of local enterprises, and advancing the updating of traditional industries.
In 2020, the Huahui Industrial Park started construction in Chongchuan, making it the first industrial complex in Nantong.
Last year, more than 40 enterprises in the zone paid more than 47 million yuan ($6.84 million) in taxes.
The district currently is home to four industrial complexes, which have helped bring in 129 enterprises.
The district has also been focusing on improving the industrial chain for key industries.
Tongfu Microelectronics Co Ltd is one of the leading enterprises in the electronic information industry.
The company has established a base for integrated circuit component packaging and testing, boosting the output value of the company to 18 billion yuan in 2022, an increase of 10.5 percent year-on-year.
Chongchuan is currently home to 49 enterprises in the electronic information industry.
According to authorities, the district aims to build a 50-billion-yuan industrial cluster in this respect to boost industrial development.
In addition, the county has made efforts to advance intelligent reconstruction to boost the upgrading and transformation of traditional industries.
For example, Nantong Cosco Khi Ship Engineering Co Ltd has established 21 automatic and intelligent production lines, which increased production efficiency by between 40 and 400 percent.
