Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, dispatched a business delegation to Japan and Singapore in early March as part of its efforts to attract more investment.

The delegation visited more than 10 agencies and companies in the two countries, during which Hu Yongjun, Party secretary of the district, introduced Chongchuan's economic and social development achievements.

The delegation held an investment promotion conference in Singapore, during which representatives from the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Singapore Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce, as well as entrepreneurs engaged in fields like artificial intelligence, intelligent internet connections, and intelligent equipment conducted exchanges with one another about the district's industrial development. They also signed initial agreements to establish cooperative ties.

The food tycoon Sam Goi, known as Singapore's "Popiah King", invited the delegation to visit his digital food factory and smart logistics facility.

In addition, the delegation met with representatives of Keppel Group and Capitaland Group, where they reached a consensus to expand investment and secure additional orders.

The delegation visited the Consulate General of China in Osaka in Japan and held an investment promotion conference at Mitsui Corporation to introduce the district's pillar industries and business environment.

The delegation also engaged in discussions with representatives of Kawasaki and Mitsubishi, both of which have facilities in Chongchuan, to reach a consensus on expanding investment.
