The Chongchuan Economic Development Zone in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, saw a rice bumper harvest with an estimated yield of 600 kilograms per mu (about 0.067 hectare).
This is largely due to the zone's continuous efforts over the past few years to build a modern agricultural industrial cluster, where 15,000-mu rice has been planted this year.
The cluster will be key to advancing the zone's rural vitalization efforts, said a local official.
The zone has established a complete agricultural industrial chain that includes making agricultural production plans, procuring production materials, and processing, transportation and selling agricultural products.
