Chongchuan's software, information technology sector sees progress

The efforts made by the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province to boost its software and information technology industry have been paying off, as evidenced by the introduction of major facilities such as Nantong IT Application Innovation Park and the Yangtze River Area Cyber Security Industrial Park.
Authorities have this year taken another series of measures, including welcoming leading enterprises and optimizing the business environment, to provide better information technology services such as software development, operation and maintenance, cloud computing and smart building.
Located in the zone, Jiangsu Trueway Technology Software System Co Ltd is one of the leading enterprises in the software and information technology sector. The company was listed as a provincial "little giant" enterprise in 2021 due to the Open Fixed-layout Document (OFD) reading software it had developed. The software has won more than 20 invention patents.
Trueway has channeled more resources towards attracting more high-caliber talents to advance its research and development. Meanwhile, the company has been increasing its research and development expenses over the past three years at an average annual rate of more than 40 percent.
A big data robot developed by Trueway will hit the market soon.
Yan Wei, deputy manager of Trueway, said his company will continue efforts to develop core technologies and promote these new technologies to other cities.
Jiangsu Smart Security Co Ltd is another leading enterprise based in the Nantong IT Application Innovation Park. The company developed a security service platform last year that can monitor all security matters in the city.
Zhang Jianrong, director of the company, said his company has developed a series of products that provide data protection for the city's governance, public security, land resources and infrastructures matters since its founding in 2019.
In addition, the company has played a key role in welcoming leading enterprises related to cybersecurity to the zone.
Authorities said they will provide more support for enterprises that decide to take part in the city's digitalization initiative in terms of talents, resources and products.
