Yin Xiangchu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, takes the lead in the systematic study of locusts and his work entitled "The Habitat of the Locust Order and a Bibliography of References" is considered the most exclusive and systematic in this field.
Over the past 30 years, Yin has discovered 37 new genera and 103 new species of locusts.
