A groundbreaking ceremony for a new production base of Jiangsu Daisy FSMP, a company specializing in food for special medical purposes (FSMP), was held in Haimen High-tech Zone, Nantong, on Oct 6.

The project is backed by a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($149.84 million). It includes GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) workshops, a testing center, and a precision nutrition facility, as well as intelligent production lines and automated, digital control systems across the entire production process.

The base is designed to produce FSMP products, health supplements, foods traditionally used as both food and medicine in Chinese culture, and maternal and infant nutrition products, with flexible production across 13 dosage forms.

Once fully operational, the base is expected to produce 1,200 metric tons of FSMP complete-nutrition formula powder, 1,000 metric tons of fat powder and base powder, 1,200 metric tons of FSMP complete-nutrition formula liquid, and 1,100 metric tons of FSMP non-complete-nutrition formula food a year.
