The structure of the Haimen North Station building on the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-speed Railway is now officially halfway to completion.

At the construction site, tower cranes and heavy machinery can be seen toiling away, with laborers busy working on various sections. A 13-meter-long steel beam weighing more than 9 metric tons has been hoisted into place on the roof, and the curved roof is taking shape.

Haimen North Station is a key station on the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-speed Railway. It serves as a landmark project in Haimen's effort to build a comprehensive transport hub. The project has now entered a critical phase, with more overlapping operations, tight schedules, and high quality standards ahead.

Once completed, the station is expected to improve the regional rail network, strengthen Haimen's transport links with other regions, make travel more convenient for residents, and support the district's integration into the Yangtze River Delta region and its cross-river development.
