A business delegation from Chongchuan district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, visited Switzerland and Germany from Aug 24 to 29 local time to promote the district's investment environment and strengthen economic ties with the countries.

In Switzerland, the delegation met with representatives of TE Connectivity, including the company's senior vice-president. During the meeting, TE Connectivity shared updates on its $150 million Nantong manufacturing base and discussed plans for launching the base's second phase.

The delegation assured representatives of TE Connectivity that Nantong would provide streamlined approval processes to accelerate construction and ensure the base begins production as soon as possible.

On Aug 26 local time, the delegation hosted the 2024 China Nantong-Switzerland Economic and Trade Cooperation Seminar in Zurich, attracting representatives from global Fortune 500 companies, including Sika Group, and various multinational chambers of commerce. The event featured a detailed introduction to Chongchuan's economic profile and investment opportunities.

The delegation also visited several companies in Germany, exploring potential collaborations between Chongchuan and German firms.
