In response to the evolving agricultural landscape and increasing electricity demands in rural areas, State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power has, as of the end of July, established over 149 new service points to enhance service network efficiency in Nantong's countryside.

The service point at Pingyuanchi village, Rugao was the first of its kind set up in Nantong in 2023. Pingyuanchi has been focusing on developing industries related to lotus flowers, roses, and chrysanthemums, and has introduced several rural tourism routes to boost the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism.
Since its inception, the Pingyuanchi service point has processed over 140 requests. Three months ago, Peng Jianjun, the head of a hydroponic vegetable cultivation base in the village, applied for an increase in electricity capacity at the service point. Following the application, service personnel promptly conducted a site inspection and provided a power supply plan. Within three days, a new 200-kilovolt-ampere transformer was installed at the cultivation base.
Peng praised the efficiency of the service, saying, "I only had to make one trip and submit the materials once; they handled everything else. It was incredibly convenient."
By the end of the year, the company expects to complete the establishment of 177 service points in Nantong, further enhancing rural electrification and supporting local development.
