On July 15, all in one day, an offset printer production base and a project producing 100,000 metric tons of degradable packaging materials annually received all five certificates required for construction in Rugao, Nantong, Jiangsu province, marking a record high speed of approval from the local government.

The two projects are located in the Shanghai-Jiangsu Sci-Tech Innovation Industrial Park in Rugao High-Tech Zone. With an investment of 500 million yuan ($68.9 million) each, the projects are expected to achieve annual taxable sales of 500 million yuan and 1 billion yuan respectively after entering production.

Rugao is continuously streamlining the approval process of new projects. With assistance throughout the whole process from the local government, "five certificates issued simultaneously" has become a norm in this county-level city.
