Jiangsu Wanda Special Bearing, located in Rugao, a county-level city in Nantong, is China's largest manufacturer of forklift mast bearings. With its listing on the Beijing Stock Exchange last month, it became the first company in Nantong to go public in 2024.
The company is renowned for its extensive product line, which includes over 5,000 types of forklift bearings, catering to industrial vehicles with capacities ranging from 0.5T to 48T.
Boasting a dominant market share in China and ranking second globally, Wanda exports its products nationwide and to regions such as Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Xu Qunsheng, the chairman, emphasized the company's commitment to innovation, saying that "running a business without innovation is tantamount to 'suicide'." Over the decades, Wanda has successfully tackled numerous critical technical challenges.
Xu highlighted that the company's future growth lies in continuously developing new markets, clients, and products. This strategic focus has led Wanda to target the robotics bearing sector.
"We already have more than 20 clients in the industrial robotics field, with some clients now receiving bulk supplies," said Gu Qin, the company's deputy marketing director. He noted that the increasing demand driven by industrial automation presents a significant growth opportunity for the company.
Xu, the chairman, also mentioned that the company plans to develop more specialized bearings for welding and assembly robots alike.
