The NetEase (Rugao) Digital Cultural Innovation Center is rapidly taking shape, with expectations to welcome full occupancy by May.

Hu Jiao, deputy general manager of the center, highlights the center's focus on nurturing digital technology and creative cultural industries. It will establish connections with high-tech enterprises and talent globally and provide them with comprehensive and professional services.

To date, NetEase has established digital innovation centers across 18 provinces in China. They have together incubated over 1,500 innovative enterprises and cultivated more than 40,000 specialized personnel.

As the digital economy presents vast opportunities for future economic development, Rugao has attracted a group of leading enterprises such as Shunfeng Communication and Linkage Software.  The county-level city in Nantong has also been developing new sectors like connected intelligence, live streaming, and financial services. It aims to gather software development start-ups and mid-tier internet platform enterprises, as well as guide small and medium-sized enterprises towards specialized, high-quality, and innovative development.
