Haimen district in Nantong, Jiangsu province on March 11 inked deals to launch 13 modern service projects with a combined investment of more than 12 billion yuan ($1.67 billion).

These projects are related to fields such as cultural tourism, technology services, business services, modern logistics, as well as wholesale and retail.

Among them, there are two projects exceeding 5 billion yuan each, one project exceeding 1.5 billion yuan, and two major foreign-funded projects exceeding $30 million each.

Guo Xiaomin, Party secretary of Haimen, highlighted that these projects will inject new powerful impetus and lay a more solid foundation for the transformation and upgrading of the district's industries.

Guo added that authorities will sustain efforts to optimize the business environment so that construction of these projects can commence as soon as possible.
