Haimen district in Nantong, Jiangsu province is set to establish family medicine clinics within eight companies this year, as per local authorities.
Under the working mechanism, a dedicated medical team will conduct regular visits, offering a range of health services including occupational health lectures and psychological counseling, as well as coordinating free clinic consultation activities.
This initiative aims to provide employees with convenient access to medical care without having to leave company premises, thereby making examinations and treatments more cost-effective, while also streamlining two-way referrals.
The comprehensive family doctor service package comprises three key components — a basic public health service package, employee health examinations, and personalized occupational health examination packages.
Last year, the district established a similar clinic at Heenoor Co, where once again a medical team from one community healthcare center provided medical services to its employees on Feb 23.
The setup included a blood pressure monitor, a blood glucose meter, and various health pamphlets. Employees visited the clinic one after another to seek advice on health issues, with some checking their blood pressure and others bringing their medical examination reports for consultation with the family doctor.
Chen Guohua, an employee of Heenoor, emphasized the significance of the services, stating, "Several of our colleagues typically have high blood pressure. By monitoring their blood pressure at the workplace, they can promptly address common illnesses, and this is incredibly beneficial for us."
