Tongzhou achieves industrial growth in first three quarters
Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province saw strong industrial development during the first three quarters of this year.
During the period, Tongzhou's total industrial output value of industries above the designated size grew by an impressive 10.4 percent year-on-year, the highest growth rate in the city. The output of the district's high-tech industry accounted for 55.2 percent of the district's total output, the highest proportion anywhere in the city.
The innovation-driven strategy of local enterprises has played a pivotal role in Tongzhou's rapid development of industries.
ZonChow Industrial Automation Co Ltd has independently developed automatic screen-printing production line for heterojunction solar cells. Since the start of production in mid-June, the company has delivered 27 production lines, achieving a sales revenue of more than 500 million yuan ($69.61 million) in just six months.
From January to September, the output value of high-tech industries in the district increased by nearly 10 percent compared to the same period last year.
The innovative development of local enterprises has also stimulated investment. In June, during the ZonChow production launch event, the announcement of Tongzhou's focus on creating a heterojunction photovoltaic industry park prompted immediate investment interest from Leacent Technology.
Four months later, the signing ceremony for the Leacent Technology's heterojunction battery project, with a total investment of 7 billion yuan, was held in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
