Talent attraction fuels growth among companies in Tongzhou
Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, has long been committed to attracting talent, which has helped the region foster small companies that have evolved into industry-leading enterprises,
AlphaESS is a shining example. In 2012, a three-person entrepreneurial team led by Yuan Hongliang, now the company's chairman, moved to Tongzhou and established AlphaESS, which focuses on the research and development of integrated household energy storage systems.
"Upon starting our operations in Tongzhou, we received comprehensive support, including talent programs, financial assistance, entrepreneurial space, and talent apartments, which allowed the company to establish a solid foundation in its early stages," said Zhang Xinyan, one of the founders and vice-president of the company.
Tongzhou's talent policies have also provided additional security and support for enterprises. This year, the company has recruited over 100 talents from renowned universities such as Tsinghua University and Nankai University and overseas institutions in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia.
After more than a decade of unwavering commitment to the energy storage industry, AlphaESS has not only established itself as a pioneer in the field but has also experienced remarkable global expansion, boasting a workforce that now exceeds 1,200 people.
