Rudong adds 3 new national 'little giant' companies

Updated: 2023-09-07

Three enterprises from the Rudong Economic Development Zone in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, were recently listed in the fifth batch of the national-level "little giant" enterprises.

This accolade brings the total count of such esteemed enterprises in the zone to five.

Among the newly added "little giants" is Jiangdong Electronic Materials Co Ltd, situated in the Zhongtian Industrial Park. In just over four years since it started operating in 2018, the company has become one of the top 10 companies in the domestic industry.

Leveraging its commitment to independent innovation, the company has managed to sustain its order growth even in the face of economic headwinds. In July, the company's orders saw a month-on-month growth of 60 percent.

Another addition to the list is Nantong Changed New Material Co Ltd, which has been contributing more than 6 percent of its annual revenue to research and development efforts since its establishment in 2016.

Last year, the company's groundbreaking invention, the quantum dot optical diffuser plate, received international acclaim by winning the Best Display Component Product Award from the International Society for Information Display.

Gangzheng Steel Sheet Science and Technology, included in the new national-level "little giant" enterprises, has made waves globally with its pioneering technology in magnesium-aluminum-zinc alloy plating, securing a national invention patent.

The company's general manager Liu Yunhua said that their patented technology for highly corrosion-resistant hot-dip magnesium-aluminum-zinc alloy plates outperforms regular galvanized plates by a factor of 20 in terms of corrosion resistance. "We employ cutting-edge environmentally friendly methods and export our products to Europe, the United States, Thailand, all with zero tariffs."
