The Fashion Nylon Industrial Park, located in Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, Jiangsu province, is one of 10 specialized parks established by the county in recent years.

The park currently is home to more than 30 key enterprises specializing in new materials, which create products that are widely used in industries related to aerospace, rail transit, automotive industry, high-end textiles, and electronic information. In 2022, the sales turnover of the park reached 50 billion yuan ($6.88 billion).

Jiangsu Rongsu New Materials Co Ltd started operating in the park in July 2021. The company has sold about 5,000 metric tons of high polymer materials, achieving sales of nearly 100 million yuan to date.

"After setting up operations in the park, the company's production costs have been reduced and its competitiveness has strengthened," said Long Min, the company's general manager.

The Hai'an High-tech Zone, where the park is located, continues to promote the expansion of the park's nylon industrial chain. The zone has been focusing on attracting production and research enterprises specializing in differentiated nylon spinning, functional fibers, filament weaving, and functional fabrics.

This year, the zone has held eight investment promotion activities targeting nylon industrial silk and downstream products.

In the first half of this year, the investment promotion team from the zone conducted special investment promotion activities for the nylon industry in Guangdong, Fujian, Suzhou, and Changshu, attracting more than 10 new nylon fiber projects.

Currently, the park has eight projects being negotiated or under development, including key projects such as three manufacturing bases for polyester industrial canvas and new nylon materials.
