A teacher and students from the Hungarian-Chinese Bilingual Primary School visited Nantong from July 10 to 11 to carry out cultural exchange activities with local schools.
It was the first time that Hungary had sent a school to Nantong for educational exchange.
During their two-day visit, the Hungarian teacher and students not only visited Qixiu Shibei Primary School, Chengzhong Primary School, and Nantong Middle School, but also went to Nantong Langshan National Forest Park, Nantong Museum, Nantong Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum, and Nantong Blue Calico Museum to experience Jianghai Culture.

Looking over the Yangtze River at the Langshan National Forest Park, they were amazed by its wide surface and busy transportation.
At the Nantong Blue Calico Museum, they learned about the traditional symbolic patterns on blue calico and tried making the fabric themselves guided by an inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage item.
They said that the two-day visit helped them get a better understanding of Nantong's culture and history and also increased their affections for China.

The Hungarian-Chinese Bilingual Primary School is a full-time public school established by the Chinese and Hungarian governments in 2004. The school is under the Hungarian compulsory education system and its students can study Chinese for 12 years.
In 2019, a friendly school relationship was established between Hungarian-Chinese Bilingual Primary School and Nantong Middle School. One year later, Chengzhong Primary School and Qixiu Shibei Junior High School also became friendly with the Hungarian-Chinese Bilingual Primary School.
