Intl students explore 'cultural gene' of Nantong

Chinese and international students from Nantong University in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, recently visited the city's cultural facilities and a noteworthy scenic spot to learn about its development and unique Jianghai Culture.

During this activity, NTU's school of foreign languages students made full use of their advantages in language to introduce fine traditional Chinese culture to the international students and showcase the city's brilliant achievements.
At the Nantong Blue Calico Museum, the international students tried making blue calico cloth after familiarizing themselves with its history and basic making procedures.

They got a better understanding of the city's history and the life story of Zhang Jian (1853-1926) who was reputed as the "father of modern Nantong" and they were impressed by the city's huge changes as presented at the Nantong Museum.
They also visited Binjiang Park to witness the great achievements made by Nantong in treating and improving the natural environment.
