Jiangsu Jianghai Museum

Jiangsu Jianghai Museum is the first State-owned museum in Haimen district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, which opened to the public in 2018.

The museum is built in a style of typical Haimen residence called "si ting zhai gou", or quadrangle courtyard surrounded by water, which features courtyards, stone bridges, and rivers in addition to dwellings.

With a collection of 8,112 cultural relics, the museum entertains more than 300,000 tourists and arranges over 40 exhibitions and 60 social activities each year.

The museum includes exhibition zones for Jianghai Culture and Zhang Jian (1853-1926), a renowned industrial magnate, educator, and scholar in Haimen, two exhibition zones for temporary exhibitions, and one exhibition zone for outstanding local culture.

The 550-square meter local culture exhibition zone includes three pavilions for redwood-made amusement articles, Ni Family guqin, and ancient furniture in Haimen.
